I had an amazing run tonight, even though it rained whilst I was out. I ran approximately a mile but the distance was seperated into 4 sets. The workout tonight seemed a lot easier than the one I performed two days ago. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to workout yesterday; my phone was malfunctioning, and I refuse to run without music. The workout began at 8:45 and lasted until about 10:20. I was forced to run a portion of the way back home due to rain. I plan on timing myself next time, so that I can begin tracking my fitness level. Early today, I was also able to complete a body weight workout session. I’m off to a good start. I’m currently 5 foot 5 inches and 166 lbs. I want to get back down to 150 lbs before this year’s Anglican Diocese’ Track Meet in October. Although I’m not very tall, I’m exceptionally quick (especially once I get down to a lighter weight).
I ran the 4×1 relay and the 800m last year. Hopefully, I can transition to the 200m and 100m races for this upcoming event. It is now July 24th, 2013, I’ve got a serious head start. I would have ran the hills at Fort Charlotte tonight, but it seems as though gas will be an issue in the near future.
I ended up not running on July 25th, 2013, I had to attend a Steak Out chicken cleaning session at St. Gregory’s. Furthermore, I have to attend a Progressive Young Liberal (PYL) function at Rawson Square tomorrow at 10 am. I also learned the Complete Seasoning has MSG (mono-sodium glutamate) in it. I shall make a mental note to never cook with that. I can still smell the seasoning on my hands.
Well, on July 26th, I was required to attend a Youth Parliament ceremony at Rawson Square that was held at 7 in the morning and lasted until 12:30pm. The ceremony was supposed televised. I have a few photos from the event down below:
Overall, we (a few members of the PYL) had a good time networking and socializing with the young Bahamian leaders of the future. I was also able to meet up with a few of the 2010 members of the Beautillion Committee for the first time in a long time. Everyone has seemed to gone their own direction in life. Very few people have the time to meet up anymore. It’s a busy world.
