Darelle Revis – Revis Island (Top 100 Players) (Video)

As you may already know, I am a diehard football fan and over the years my appreciation for the game has evolved. In my early years, I glorified the athletes on the offence and merely glanced over the stats and performances of the defensive players. After all, the game is all about touchdowns, right?

That is until I saw the impressive interception returned for a touchdown of 108 yards by Ed Reed during his tenure at the Baltimore Ravens. At that moment, I became a fan of the defense. One of the best cornerbacks in the league at his position, Darelle Revis, will be returning from his ACL injury suffered last year and will be starting at cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

You have to admire the skill required to play defensive back, and Darelle is one of the best at his position. I would rank him among the ranks of Charles Woodson, Deion Sanders, Ed Reed, Rod Woodson and Champ Bailey. He is one of the league’s premiere shut down corners and I would love to see him play this season

Keyshawn Johnson and Darrelle Revis have a sit down discussion concerning Darrelle’s current ACL rehabilitation as a result of his early season ACL tear last year, his expectations for the season as a corner for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tim Tebow and the Jets, and the Jet’s poor win-loss record last season.
